DISACOAT RF/EX is a rust converter additive for paints, compatible with solvent systems, which can be used in primers and also top coats.

Usage Area |
DISACOAT RF/EX is used when there is no possibility to make a complete mechanical cleaning of a rusted surface and the additive compensates for the effects generated by the bad treatment of these surfaces. This is a big advantage not only for the paint manufacturers, but also for the final buyers.
With DISACOAT RF/EX the rust is then converted to an inactive iron organic complex which will protect the surface of the corrosion. DISACOAT RF/EX has a mixture of solvents compatible with the majority of paints, favoring good dispersion and system stability. We recommend a dose of 3.0% to 5.0% over the total paint, being possible to achieve 8.0% in the case of non pigmented paints. DISACOAT RF/EX can be used together with anti-corrosive pigments to improve anti-corrosion characteristics of the paints. |
